What You'll Need

Pour over brewer

Carafe or mug

Filter

Hot water (30 sec off boil)

Ground coffee

Scale


Ratio:  20 grams of coffee to 312 grams of water

Brew Time

3-4 mins

 

STEP 1

Bring water to a boil.  Rinse the paper filter with hot water, and discard the rinse water.  Place brewer back on carafe or mug and add coffee grounds to the wet filter

STEP 2

Add water to set up the “bloom”.  Add twice the weight of your coffee, so 20 grams of coffee grounds requires 40-45 grams of water for the bloom

STEP 3

After 30-45 seconds, add water slowly and in a circular fashion until you have a moderate bed height.  Continue to add water slowly, but maintain the created line of coffee.

STEP 4

Stir or swirl and enjoy!
