FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where does 3-19 Coffee roast coffee?
Oakland, CA.
When I place an order, when can I expect it to arrive?
We roast every Tuesday and ship every Tuesday and Thursday. Your order will usually arrive in 1-4 days after it's shipped, depending on your proximity to Oakland, CA. We'll send you a notification when your order has shipped with a tracking number.
What is our roasting philosophy?
Our goal is to bring the most out of every coffee, while keeping our coffees delicious and approachable.
We want to match you up with coffee that matches your taste preference. If you are looking for a specific taste or roast profile, let us know.
What kind of roaster do you use?
We roast on a Loring S35 Kestrel. This is an efficient and sustainable roaster, utilizing convection heat to roast and a closed air system. Our beans love it in there.
Do you have a dark roast?
Yes, the Dali Blend is our house dark roast. And it's delicious :)
Is your decaf made with chemicals?
No. We source decaf beans that have been decaffeinated using a chemical-free water immersion technique.
What is single-origin coffee?
Single-origin coffee is about traceability. It means that we can trace the coffee back to exactly where it is being grown, to it’s origin.
I’m new to specialty coffee. What do you recommend?
Coffee is very subjective and personal. We love hearing people talk about their specific coffee routines and preferences. If you’re not sure what to try, you can ask us directly. Drop us a line at hello@319coffee.com.
How do you source your coffee?
Our approach is to build relationships along the entire supply chain of coffee. Our focus is on quality, sustainability and collaboration. We work together with coffee farmers, exporters, importers and individuals in-between to ensure we are sourcing the best and most responsible coffee.
Can I change or cancel a subscription?
Most definitely! Just let us know by emailing us at hello@319coffee.com.
How is the coffee packaged?
Our coffee is roasted and packed in air-tight heat-sealed bags with degassing valves. The valve prevents the oxidation of coffee by allowing gases out, but prevents ambient air from getting in.
How should I store my coffee?
We recommend storing coffee in a cool, dry place, away from heat and light, or in an airtight container. Should you put your coffee in the freezer? Maybe if you are leaving for some period of time longer than 3 months.
How long will your coffee stay fresh?
Coffee is a perishable item and does have a shelf life. We encourage you to use your coffee within two months of the roast date.
We want your feedback!
Yes, we’d love to hear from you - good or bad - about how you think our coffee tastes. We brew our coffees many different ways to see how the taste may vary, as every brew is unique. Who's to say we won’t learn a thing or two from your brewing method at home. Email us at hello@319coffee.com.
